Resumen

Considering the environmental problems that affect our planet, such as the greenhouse effect, global warming, and the accumulation of plastic waste, this thesis project proposes to synthesize compounds that can be used in catalytic reactions and thus contribute to reducing the problems mentioned above, as well as continue studying and developing catalytic systems that allow more active, efficient, and selective processes. This proposal was first developed by synthesizing stable germylenes and  stannylenes with bis- amidine    and    bis-sulfonimidamide  ligands, thus evaluating their catalytic potential in the polymerization of cyclic esters. In addition, the reactivity of these synthesized metallylenes in oxidation, oxidative addition, chemical coordination, and transmetalation reactions was explored. On the other hand, the synthesis of aluminum complexes with bis-amidine and Schiff base ligands was carried out to study the catalytic potential of the transformation of CO2 with epoxides to cyclic carbonates.
