En mi Laboratorio de Tecnologías Biomimeticas estamos enfocados al desarrollo y el estudio de:
1) El desarrollo y estudio de sustitutos de tejidos por medio bioimpresión 3D de hidrogeles y scaffolds que imiten la arquitectura y/o funcionalidad de los tejidos con fines de regeneración.
2) Vehículos farmacéuticos inteligentes (smart drug delivery systems) para la liberación de factores de crecimiento, citokinas y ácidos nucleicos en el organismo.
3) Desarrollo y estudio de plataformas organ-on-a-chip.
4) Biomateriales bioresponsivos a estímulos fisiopatológicos. Ejemplos de estos estímulos incluyen pH, temperatura y radicales de oxígeno.
5) Ingeniería de superficies y recubrimientos aplicado a prótesis e implantes médicos.
